Zinc Phosphate Coatings

Zinc phosphate for medium- and low-alloy, cold- and hot-rolled STEELS.

Zinc phosphate is a corrosion-resistant coating for metal surfaces. A seeding agent such as sodium pyrophosphate is used as a pretreatment to create a crystalline structure. Provides a grey-black coating for medium- and low-alloy steels;

Type Z:

May be used up to 200°F and prevents wear.

Supplemental coatings are added to impart moderate to medium corrosion protection.
